1) The CCPCP is open to membership for all competent counsellors, psychotherapists, psychologists, and social workers who maintain active status with a professional association of their choice.

2) CCPCP members receive a Wall Certificate that is suitable for framing. This certifies that members are duly recognized by a National Regulatory Body.

3) CCPCP members provide clients the benefit of claiming fees paid for counselling therapy and psychotherapy as tax deductible expenses.

4) CCPCP membership allows members to become a "stakeholder" in determining "complaint processes", bylaw reviews, and can offer administrative policy recommendations.

5) The CCPCP holds an Annual AGM for members at a location announced on the Home page of www.ccpcp.ca.

6) The CCPCP monitors Provincial regulatory processes(where applicable) to ensure that they are compliant with Canadian Law, e.g. the charter of Rights and Freedoms, Human Rights legislation, the Canada Competition Act, the A.I.T. (Agreement on Internal Trade), the Canada Health Act, and Provincial Labour Mobility Agreements.

7) The CCPCP advocates fairly in disputes between members and their clients.

8) The CCPCP supports its members by providing a membership directory listing on www.ccpcp.ca.

9) The CCPCP keeps members updated by newsletter and on Provincial regulatory developments where applicable.
